    Dr. Daniel Brown is a native of Niagara Falls, New York. He graduated summa cum laude from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He received his Doctor of Medicine in 2006 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

    Dr. Brown went on to complete a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship with a focus in Interventional Pulmonology at Washington University, Saint Louis, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care.

    Dr. Brown has a special interest in the care of lung cancer patients, and performs endobronchial ultrasound to aid in the diagnosis and staging of malignancy. He is also interested in the care of patients with malignant pleural effusions.

    Terrence P. Lenahan, M.D.

    Terrence Lenahan is a native of Scranton. He graduated from The University of Scranton, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1983. He then received his Doctorate of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia in 1987.

    Dr. Lenahan completed a three year residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia and a three year Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia where he received the “Resident Teaching Award”. Dr. Lenahan has maintained a private practice at Regional Hospital of Scranton and Moses Taylor Hospital since his return to the area in 1993.

    Dr. Lenahan serves as Chairman of the Department of Medicine, Director of the Intensive Care Unit and Chief of the Pulmonary & Critical Care Service in Regional Hospital of Scranton. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and a member of The American Thoracic Society, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, Pennsylvania Medical Society, and Lackawanna County Medical Society. He is Board Certified in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.

    His special areas of interest include lung cancer, asthma, allergy and immunology and occupational lung disease.

    Besher Kabak, M.D.

    Dr. Besher Kabak received his medical degree from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine, Syria. He completed an Internal Medicine residency, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine Fellowships at Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences in South Orange, New Jersey.

    Board Certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, Dr. Kabak provides care for patients with asthma, lung cancer, chronic obstructive lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and critical illnesses. He also takes care of patients with different sleep issues such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia and parasomnia.

    Dr. Bassel Noumi graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tishreen University School of Medicine, Lattakia, Syria in 2005. He then obtained a Certificate of Study in Clinical Research and Management from Drexel University, Pennsylvania, and worked as a clinical researcher at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. He went on to complete a three year residency in Internal Medicine at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton where he was honored with the Robert Wright M.D. Outstanding Resident Award.

    Dr. Noumi completed a three year combined fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals, Cleveland, Ohio. He was elected to be the Chief Fellow in his third year at Case Western University.

    Dr. Noumi sees patients with lung nodules and cancers, interstitial lung diseases, COPD, asthma, and all other pulmonary illnesses.

    Melanie Heard, C.R.N.P. graduated from Wilkes University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2006. She earned a Master of Science Degree in Nursing, specializing as a Nurse Practitioner, from The University of Scranton in May, 2013.

    Ms. Heard is Nationally Certified through the American Nursing Credentialing Center. After graduation, she joined Delta Medix, in both the Pulmonary and Vascular departments, working as a Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioners of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
